creative reuse & repair

for resilient communities

our mission

The reNEWed Festival brings together people who work with repurposed, reused, and salvaged materials in a variety of ways. The Festival aims to educate and inspire in the creative reuse and repair of everyday items as a celebration of resilience and sustainability and to spark movement towards mitigating environmental challenges, climate change and consumer culture.

Our objective is to create and host an annual, rural based Festival that demonstrates and encourages creative repurposing and repairing; supports and empowers through teaching basic repair skills; and that nurtures and builds community through skill sharing and intergenerational knowledge transfer.

During the festival …

“I can testify that this was a terrific event.

Get your axe sharpened! Learn how to keep it sharp! Bring things you’d like fixed and get insight on how. Take clothes for the clothing swap (I forgot to do that, though I picked up a great dress). A lovely and informative and helpful afternoon.”
